The Real Iana Bown

I'm Iana Bown, a part-time college student, social/environmental activist, and more  importantly than anything, a driven individual who is strongly motivated by the prospects of endless opportunities.

During my professional journey I've had the opportunity to work within multiple industries where I worked on a number of both solo and collaborative projects. These industries focused mainly on customer service, which I feel has enhanced my personability and conflict resolution skills.

During this time I've also taken the time to enroll in a multiplicity of courses, this warning certifications within the fields of Physical Sciences, Behavioral Finances, and Introductory Carpentry Training.

Whether professional or academic, I've used proven skills such as adaptability and creativity both as vessels in an effort to further myself in every aspect of life.

As an aspiring activist, I also pride myself upon the publishing of my blog on environmental advocacy known as Reducecarbonorg.

This blog is focused around the idea of promoting mindfulness when it comes to how we all affect the environment and planet as a whole.

Due to my interests in activism, I also gave a keen interest in NGO's/volunteerism.

I've since dedicated my free time to volunteering as lead moderator of the Palmdale Freecycle Group, which focuses on allocating no longer in use resources to those in need.

This requires single daily moderation of an online community containing 1000+ members.

As well as volunteering, I also dedicate a portion of my free time to reading/writing reviews as a member of an online book review team in order to further develop my writing capabilities.

Throughout every aspect of life I've used my intellectual curiosity as a vessel to both push myself into new endeavors and to find answers to the most pressing of questions.

My primary aspiration is to discover new ways to improve each and every day!
